A Kind Story That Prove a Little Sympathy Goes a Long Way

I discovered a woman’s Louis Vuitton bag on a table once while working at a fast food restaurant. After twenty minutes of waiting, I decided to bring the bag to the lost and found because I knew she wasn’t going to return. I just set it down and returned to my task without checking inside.

Even after a month had gone, no one had claimed the bag. “Hey, it’s been a month… do you want that bag?” my boss inquired in a casual manner. I decided yes after giving it some thinking, so I walked around to get it. When I cracked it open, I was startled to see that it contained nothing but a single sheet of paper. One handwritten note read: “To the girl who needed a new purse during the holidays.
.” The piece of paper was a receipt. As I examined the ticket more closely, I saw that the bag had cost $1,700! It appeared like the woman had every intention of leaving the bag for someone in need—a premeditated act of kindness—whoever she was.I secretly put all of my possessions in the bag and returned home, without telling anybody about my find. I felt more secure and looked more put-together in job interviews because of that handbag; it was more than simply an accessory.Even now, I own the bag. This keepsake is a precious relic from my less fortunate days. The most essential thing is that it motivates me to return the favor and help other people whenever I can.
