2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt 1

teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped walnuts Confectioners’

sugar for dusting (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually incorporate the flour and salt until a dough forms.

Gently fold in the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Shape the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart to allow for spreading.

Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.

Once cooled, dust the German Rocks with confectioners’ sugar for a sweet finish.
