My mom taught me this recipe in the 70s, I absolutely love these melt-in-your-mouth bites!

4 cups powdered sugar

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon butter, softened

½ teaspoon mint extract

Food coloring of your choice (optional for a pop of color)

Instructions

Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and mint extract with an electric mixer on low until the mixture is crumbly.

Knead the Dough: Use your hands to knead the dough until it forms a cohesive ball.

Color the Mints: Divide the dough into four equal parts, placing each in a separate bowl. Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion (except one, to remain white), mixing until the color is evenly distributed.

Shape the Mints: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll the dough into teaspoon-sized balls and arrange them on the sheet. Gently flatten each ball with a fork dipped in powdered sugar to create a beautiful pattern.

Let Them Set: Allow the mints to dry at room temperature for at least 4 hours before serving, to ensure they develop the perfect texture.
