Marcus stood up, rubbed his eyes, and headed toward the kitchen. They’d had dinner while he was at work, so they’d set up a little table for him with a dish of leftovers. With a growing hunger in his belly, he took a seat and began dishing himself some food. He saw Karen and his father observing him intently as he started to eat, their eyes tracking his every move.
